Events
Grafton WinterFest 2023
Winterfest 2023 at Grafton Lakes State Park includes visits with your favorite bloodhounds, food venders, a polar Plunge and more!
We offer search demonstrations, subject tracking examples and a chance to meet the dogs. This year we had a great turn out and had a lot of fun meeting everyone!
This Meet and Greet is an important part of the training cycle for tracking dogs. Our trainers use the opportunity to teach the dogs the difference between the work of “finding” the subject and how to work with the distraction of a crowd. Thank you for participating in our training!
Memorial Day 2022
Rensselaer County Search and Rescue is honored to remember our fallen military by participating in Memorial Day parades in North Greenbush, East Greenbush, and Castleton.
Cabin Fever 2022
Every January
RCSAR has participated in this annual event at Grafton Lake State Park since the 1990’s. Meet some of the canine stars of our program and their trainers too! We do practice searches and community outreach events throughout the capital region.

Town of North Greenbush Holds Public Safety Day
Rensselaer County Search and Rescue participated in the Public Safety Day in North Greenbush. October 9, 2021.
Residents met the search animals, handlers, and investigated our equipment while meeting representatives of law enforcement, fire departments, ambulances and transportation services.
Thank you for attending and visiting!
